We have a three-pronged adult tennis program. Coach Jackson conducts Adult Doubles Clinic, a fee-based clinic every Thursday night from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The 90-minute session includes skills and drills and supervised match play. In addition to improving tennis skills, this is a real workout which improves cardio, agility, balance, and coordination. Each Thursday session of Adult Doubles Clinic is $15.
Tennis Tuesdays is the perfect complement to the clinic, as it gives you an opportunity to play competitive tennis in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Tennis Tuesdays start at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday, beginning on February 14, 2017 and will run in seven five-week sessions. We will change the play format every five weeks and we will place you with others in comparable skill levels. We will record individual games won and award prizes in October to the highest games won (in 2016, we had six prize winners). This is a great way to use your skills and have fun. Each five-week session of Tennis Tuesday is $15, paid in advance. The schedule for Tennis Tuesdays is below.
Session 1: February 14, 21, 28 and March 7, 14
Session 2: March 21, 21 and April 4, 11, 18
Session 3: April 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23

You can pay at the first session or pay online by going to http://www.gctennis.org/new-page-1/ or returning to the top bar of our website, clicking "About GCTA" on the far right and then clicking "Make Payment" at the bottom of the list. You should include some basic info when you pay online (Tennis Tuesday Session 1, for example).
If you wish to be included in the Text Alert Reminder and Weather Change system, you will need to send an email to Helen at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and mobile number before the first session. We will decide by 5:30 each Tuesday whether to cancel due to bad weather and send the text message at 5:30 p.m. Rainouts will be rescheduled for the next day, the Wednesday.
We will help you form a USTA League team if you wish to play in the Tennessee State Championships. Tennessee has four state league championships: Adult spring (singles and doubles in same gender); Mixed Doubles; Tri-Level Doubles (3 cascading NTRP level doubles courts at each match in same gender) and Combo Doubles (combined NTRP same gender doubles). The deadline for team formation in order to qualify for the state championship is fairly rigid and we encourage you to contact LLC Rebecca Muncy early in order to organize a team.
If you have questions, please call or text Rebecca Muncy at 423-588-8850. We look forward to seeing you on the courts!
